How to resize your templates to fit your print company’s specs:
You can do this one of two ways:
The first way:
Open the template from your print company in Photoshop. Go to Image – Image Size. Note the Height and Width of the Template.
Open the Marshmallow Dog Template PSD in Photoshop. Go to Image-Image Size and change the size to match the template from your print company.
Make sure you do this before you add your photos to the template or it will distort the pictures:)
The Second Way:
Open both PSD files in Photoshop.
Select all of the Layers in the Marshmallow Dog file. Drag the layers onto the print company file. With the layers still selected Edit – Free Transform. Hold down the shift key and drag the handles to match. By Using this option you will be able to see the guide lines in your print company’s template.
****Many of the square files are made in 12×12. If you are using ROES to order you should easily be able to use these files to order the square products in any size without resizing the template.
How to add your photos:
With your template open:
Select the “photo Mask” layer for the photo you would like to add.
Go to your photo. Go to Select – All. Then Edit – Copy.
Go back to the template file and click Edit – Paste.
The photo should now show up in the masked area and should have a clipping mask applied.
If you lose your clipping mask: Right click on the layer with the photo and select “Create Clipping Mask” This will create a clipping mask to the layer beneath the photo so make sure your photo is directly above the photo mask layer.
Now you can resize your photo to fit. Select Edit – Free Transform. Hold down the shift key and drag the handles until your photo fits the area.
Now you can
